I'm 26, and I have buck teeth. I'm not happy with my teeth, is it worth getting braces? Any idea how much?

$3000 as a rough idea

I%26#039;m 26, and I have buck teeth. I%26#039;m not happy with my teeth, is it worth getting braces? Any idea how much?
it%26#039;s never too late to do something to inprove your looks and enhance your self image! you can do it at a chain place for around $100 down and payments of less than that for the duration of treatment!get out the phone book and look up orthodondists in your area and go for it!my daughters both wore baraces in high school!worth every penny!good luck!
Reply:if you really want braces, they cost around $5,000 to $6,000. I have braces, but I%26#039;m not an adult yet.
Reply:If you want braces go for it, not only will you be more satisfied with your looks it will boost your self esteem and protect your teeth from abnormal wear. I would avoid a chain orthodontist since I am not sure you would see the same one each time. Meantime orthodontics will no doubt run somewhere between $2000 and $5000 but you should be aware that there are additional costs as well. You will need to have your teeth cleaned and your dental repairs done first and this will continue througout your treatment and that might even mean cleanings every 3 months. You may need to have some teeth extracted to make more room so be sure to include those costs. Important to factor those expenses as well since orthodontists only do orthodontics, not cleaning, repairs or extractions. As for your age, you are still very young, it may be more painful and take longer than a young teenager but can still be done effectively. I had mine put on at age 48 and don%26#039;t regret a minute of it.
Reply:you should do it. i%26#039;m getting braces this afternoon. it%26#039;ll cost about 4000$, on a period of two years. i didn%26#039;t want to, but that was the most reasonable option. just do it and get it over with, i%26#039;d advise. it%26#039;ll make your life so much easier too just think about it.
Reply:if you are prepared psychologically financially and socially, then yes. getting braces requires immaculate oral hygiene and religious compliance to your dentist%26#039;s instructions. its hard to maintain one.

however, it%26#039;s a small price to pay for your health and confidence which the braces may give you.

the price depends on te difficulty of your case, the skills of the dentist and your location. may i ask where are you now living?
Reply:yes it is and adult ortho is a little more expensive. about 4500.
Reply:around $5000. GET THEM! I just got mine off and I can%26#039;t stop looking at them in the mirror! I had clear ceramic on top and metal on bottom. I am 32.
